Why infrared?

An infrared sauna uses radiant heating panels to warm the body and surrounding surfaces. Unlike a traditional sauna, which primarily heats the air using a stove and heated stones, an infrared cabin is designed around direct radiant warmth at generally lower cabin temperatures.

How it differs from a traditional sauna

The Haven range uses far-infrared carbon heating panels. Infrared cabins are typically dry and operate at lower air temperatures than traditional saunas, although exact settings and session guidance vary by model. Always follow the controller and product manual supplied with your sauna.

What to consider before buying

  • Capacity — Choose a cabin that gives each intended user comfortable space.
  • Room and access — Check the assembled dimensions and every doorway, stairway and turning point on the delivery route.
  • Electrical setup — Each sauna uses a plug-in configuration and do not require customer hard-wiring. Follow the electrical information supplied with your exact sauna.
  • Ventilation and clearance — Follow the manufacturer’s siting instructions and allow the specified space around the cabin.
  • Assembly — Haven saunas arrive in a protective wooden crate and require assembly using the supplied manual.

Using infrared heat responsibly

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions, begin conservatively and stop if you feel unwell. Infrared saunas are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease. Seek medical advice before use if you are pregnant, take medication, have a health condition or have been advised to limit heat exposure.
